The COLOMBUS House

A French manufacture, a family story.

Since 1996, COLOMBUS has designed and manufactured tables in Wattrelos, Hauts-de-France. A family adventure that became a manufacture, driven by a team, a workshop and the same attention to proportions, materials and finishes.

COLOMBUS, a family story since 1996

Since 1996

A table is designed, made, and passed on.

COLOMBUS is first and foremost a family story and a passion for the dining table. Over the years, our expertise has grown around design, metalwork, ceramic and bespoke manufacturing.

We do not aim to produce anonymous tables. Every project should find its place in an interior through its shape, proportions, material and character.

Our team

Craftsmanship carried by a loyal team.

Behind every COLOMBUS table are Benoît and Vincent, who have worked alongside Thierry Wolf for more than twenty years. Two craftsmen who know every gesture, every material and every standard, and who bring the manufacture's rigour to life every day.

Preparation, welding, lacquering, assembly, inspection, packing: every step is carried out in Wattrelos by experienced hands, with the same commitment to the table leaving for your home as to the one on show at a trade fair.

Manufacturer, not importer

Made in Wattrelos, not imported.

COLOMBUS is neither a reseller nor an importer: we are the manufacturer, and nothing is subcontracted abroad.

Imported tables, generally

  • A glass top with a thin layer of ceramic glued on
  • Much more fragile and unpleasant in daily use: they sound hollow and are noisy
  • An unattractive extra thickness

Our tables, made in our own workshop

  • A specific manufacturing process: they do not sound hollow
  • Quiet in daily use
  • Very slim in appearance, and elegant

A difference you can’t see in a photo, but one you hear the moment you set a glass on the table.

  • One contact: the designerThierry Wolf, founder and designer, advises you from the first conversation to delivery. He knows every table, every ceramic and every base in detail.
  • Advice without pressureWe take the time to understand your needs and your taste, help you choose, and talk you out of a decision you might regret. A table is a centrepiece: our priority is your satisfaction on delivery.
  • Delivered and installed by our own teamIn France and Belgium, our team assembles and installs the table: at the floor of your choice in Île-de-France, Hauts-de-France and Belgium, at ground level elsewhere.

Our craftsmanship

From design to final inspection.

The work is built step by step: technical design, structure preparation, welding, finishing, lacquering, assembly and inspection. These stages give each table its precision, stability and finish quality.

Thirty years of craft devoted to the ceramic table

COLOMBUS International is neither a reseller nor an importer: we are the manufacturer. Since 1996, we have designed and made high-end ceramic tables in our workshop in Wattrelos, in the Lille European Metropolis. Thirty years of craft, one single craft.

COLOMBUS was founded in 1996 by Thierry Wolf, its designer and manager. In thirty years, the company has built unique expertise: selecting tops, developing bases, mastering bespoke work, dealing directly with customers. This is not know-how learned in a few years; it is a specialisation built over time, with thousands of tables made and delivered.

A 3,000 m² workshop in the North of France

Our workshop is in Wattrelos, on the Belgian border, a few minutes from Lille. It covers 3,000 m² of production. Our 900 m² showroom is attached to it, within the same site: when you visit the showroom, you also discover the workshops. Everything is done on site, by our teams. No stage is outsourced abroad.

The Mastercraft concept: design your table in 5 steps

Mastercraft is our bespoke design method. It structures personalisation into five clear steps:

  1. The shape: dining, coffee, extendable, garden, meeting
  2. The top colour: among the 21 ceramics of the collection
  3. The dimensions: exact length, width and height
  4. The base model: among our twelve collections
  5. The base finish: colour and material

After these five choices, you have a unique table, found nowhere else, at your exact measurements. Configure my table

From quotation to delivery: our manufacturing process

Every order follows the same process: approval of the quotation and your choices, production in our workshop, quality control before shipping, delivery and installation by our teams. The lead time is around 8 weeks from approval.

What guides us

  • Quality: we make no compromise on materials. Every ceramic top is selected for its durability and its look.
  • Fair price: selling direct, with no middleman, makes high-end furniture accessible to those who truly deserve it.

What our customers say

Our customers rate us very positively on Google, Pages Jaunes and Houzz. They often come back to the same points: the quality of the advice, the beauty of the tables, the care taken over delivery and installation, and the direct relationship with the team. Read customer reviews
